General Terms & Conditions of med update europe GmbH, Hagenauerstr. 53, DE 65203 Wiesbaden

Please note the following information and conditions: The European Update Seminars are organized by the company med update europe GmbH. After registration and receipt of a confirmation, a binding contract is made between the participant and med update europe GmbH.

Conditions for Participation

The participation is intended for doctors and medical experts only. The registration is individual and not transferable. To register for on-site participation or the livestream, register on the congress website, or access it at www.medupdate-europe.eu

Terms of Payment and Cancellation

Terms of payment and cancellation for registration fees shall be paid on issuance of the invoice. The invoice shall only be issued to the attendee and shall bear his or her invoice address. Please pay by money transfer free of charge, or credit card, only after you have received the invoice, stating your name and the invoice number. If you should need to change your registration, please address wikonect GmbH via post, fax or e-mail. In the event of cancellation up to 14 days before commencement of the congress a processing fee of 50,- Euros (35,- Euros for a livestream ticket) will be charged. In the case of cancellation after this date the invoice amount shall not be reimbursed. The full invoice amount shall also be paid, if a registered attendee fails to show up at the event. Please note that cancellations can only be accepted in written form.

Changes and cancellation of an event / livestream by the organizer: Events shall only take place if a minimum attendance number is reached. med update europe GmbH reserves the right to replace speakers, change the date and location, to cancel events or to change the program. If an event is cancelled, already paid fees shall be reimbursed in full. Any further claims for compensation shall be ruled out.

Changes of reservation due to force majeure from on-site tickets to livestream tickets will be allowed at no cost.

Information on Data Privacy

We collect, process and use the data you provide to us regarding your name, title, profession and your address for our information and that of our partners only in relation to your participation in our Update seminars. Your personal data will be deleted the moment there is no more need for it in relation to your participation, and the moment our legal obligation of document storage has passed. You have the right, at any time, to inquire about your personal information, limit the use of your information, or to demand we delete it. For any inquiries or complaints regarding your personal data please contact the Data Protection Agent: Boris Koppenhöfer, Email: dsb@ko-we.de. We oblige our staff and the service providers commissioned by us to keep all information confidential and to comply with the effective legal data protection regulations. med update europe may film, photograph or take video footage in public spaces during the Update congress. By agreeing to these general terms & conditions, the participant agrees that any images in which he/she may appear may be used in relation to the promotion of future med update europe seminars and on the Update website.

Availability of Livestream and Digital Documentation

Access to the livestream is only possible simultaneously to the on-site event, according to the program included online, and once the ticket has been paid.

The digital eCharts (pdfs of the speaker presentations) can be downloaded 4-6 weeks after the event for all paid participants, for the period of one year following the event. Participants can access the download on the event website, or they will be notified by email if there is a valid email address on record.

A selection of videos-on-demand from the event will be available at no cost to all paid participants approximately 6 weeks after the event. Participants will be informed about the availability if they provide medupdate europe with a valid email address. The videos can be accessed at www.streamed-up.com

Limitation of Liability

The organizers of the seminar cannot accept any liability for personal injury or loss or damage to person or property of the seminar participants; not during the seminar or as a result of the seminar participation. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

Liability for Content

The information in, and the publication of the seminar / livestream has been carefully compiled and commented on by the respective speakers or the authors to the best of their knowledge and the latest scientific knowledge. Without exception, the comments reflect the personal opinion of the respective speakers or the authors. Information and comments are not a substitute for a doctor's specific therapeutic decision. It is a doctor's sole responsibility to use the information and comments in question to orient him or herself after making his or her own diagnosis.
